Ok so I have a leak in my oil inlet line to my oil cooler. Well I am trying to get it off, and well how the hell does that thing come off. Do I have to take off the bolt that bolts the line to the cooler. I have been trying to take that off and it is stuck. And on the other end how does that line come off. Twist or just pull.
Sorry for the dumb question, but I left my handy manual at my sisters house.
Thanks
Chris

Best thing you can do is disconnect the hoses at the engine first. The short hose at the front of the engine .....you have to hold with one wrench the union that is screwed in the block, then turn the flats on the hose to loosen it. On my car I had to grind on the wrench that holds the union to make it thin enough to fit. Once both hose are free of the engine, and you have loosened the cooler mounts, feed the whole mess out the front of the grill. The big thing here is being able to get both wrenches on the fittings for the short hose and being able to find enough room to get leverage on the hose fitting. It can be done. Fan, radiator get in the way, oil gets all over the place, big mess. Remember the part about grinding the sides of the wrench that fits the union on the front hose. I just did not own a wrench thin enough. Oh yes , I forgot about how the hoses are tied together under the battery approx. Its easier if you remove the battery and its box to get room. Thats a must.
