oil cooler lines
Hi i have a pretty bad oil leak in my 88 n/a i was told to look at the oil coolwe lines so i did and they are pretty slimmy with oil and coated. and everything around them is soaked to. so im gona go with the asumption that its the lines. now where can i get new ones from? Racing beat has them for 160$ USd which is alot in Canada i was told not to get mazda ones cause they suck.
can i make them myself? or do local shops do that kinda of thing? what kind of shop would do it for me?

Mazdatrix carries SS lines, dunno on price.
You can make them yourself, but it'll cost you a good deal, SS fittings arent' cheap.. A hydraulics shop could probably make up a set of lines for you.
But in the end, it's probably easiest just to buy premade lines.

My Tranny cooler lines would leak about a qt to the hour. Thats pretty bad, and thats not pressureized (its because in my setup, its the lowest fluid point.) I drained the tranny, and took off the lines and filled the bathtup and blew compressed air through them to find the hole. I cleaned it all off /w sandpaper, Jb-welded the hole, primered the hole thing and reinstalled. Presto not a drip anywhere.
