I've been looking to make my own oil cooler lines with AN fittings. I see all over that -10 is used. I have -8AN hose and I am wondering if -8AN hose would be too restrictive or cause too much pressure.
Okay, thank you. I didn't know if changing the size would cause a pressure change, but if stock is -8 and people upgrade to -10 it might not be a problem. I'll build them and watch the oil pressure gauge for a while.
Pressure and flow are two completely different parameters. While I don't think -8AN will be a problem, I'm pretty sure people upgrade to -10AN for the added comfort factor. Have you been able to find all the right fittings for adapting everything to accept -8AN hose?
