Hi just wanderin where the plugs are for filling and draining and if redline was the best thanks

redline is a good oil I don't know if it is the "BEST" though. there is a drain plug and a fill plug on the tranny. Just make sure you take off the fill plug first.

The drain will be at a lower point than the fill. That's about all you'd need to know.

Use synthetic gear lube. There are two big ugly square head plugs on the side of the tranny. Top one is fill, bottom one is drain......

Undo the FILL plug first. It really sucks to find out you cant get it open AFTER you drain the tranny...

thanks for all your help guys ... at the moment im actually running a rebuilt s4 turbo motor with that gerabox and i was thinking how long the box could handle it

I came up with a good method for tranny fluid fill. Once the bottom plug is back in, get a 3ft. hose (I used washing machine hose with the fittings cut off).

Stick one end in the fill hole, and run the remainder up to the oil filter area in the engine compartment. Stick a funnel in the hose and fill with the right amount of fluid.
Low tech, but works great.
