question about noise

after i took my intake apart a few weeks ago and cleaned out my 5th/6th port sleeves and ports my car has been making a clicking noise under the intake, on a piston car it would sound like the lifters clattering, but i cant figure out what it is, nothing that really bothers me or has changed the way my car runs, im just curious

Did you get the check valve betweent the ACV and the lower intake manifold installed right? Is it dirty? Just a thought.

thread revival.

I found the noise in my engine, its coming from the rear actuator/sleeve and its making a clicking noise as noted above. Using the "hose stethoscope", the sound is very distinct when listening and the hose is held on the end of the actuator shaft.

Has anyone found a quick fix for this? It's especially bad at ~1500 rpm, as in during warmup time. Otherwise runs great.
