oil catch can

Looking for tips on installing an oil catch can.

I'm guessing one line goes from the oil fill neck to the catch can. Do we need another line that feeds to the can? Should the can be sealed or would it be better to have a filter on it, to allow for breathing?

What can be removed from the emmission system when installing a catch can?

Does anyone have pics of a catch can installed in their N/A or TII??

Regards,
Shawn

There'e very little reason to install one on a rotary because there's not much to "catch". The "crankcase" (Mazda's terminology, not mine) ventilation line to the intake is tiny for that reason. There is no crankcase and no blow-by to pressurise it like in a piston engine. The factory system, which ventilates the chamber containing the oil, should be perfectly adequate.

What about when removing the PCV? Should the nipple on the oil fill neck simply be plugged up?
