ok tonite i had a run in with a TII on the hwy,from 55-12x i had pulled about 1.5 cars and from 15-80 i had pulled about 1 car.i am just wondering what could have done to my motor before i bought it,my car is a 88 se with header and exhaust as far as i can see.after we stoped and talked he had some exhaust and a hks intake on his car,what could have been done for me to beat that car like i did?i just got the car not even a month ago and i am still very new to these cars.he even looked under the hood and couldnt tell what was up with it.

 

Must be a really good port and/or the TII is fucked up.

 

Oh ya, thers a "Kills" section for the race part I like to see NA kills in there so put it there too if you already haven't.

 

the TII's probably screwed with low compression or trashed turbo. there is a guy in town with a turbo II with about 70psi on his compession and he gets spanked by stock N/A's but he dosn't have the money for a new engine and it still sorta starts and runs .

 

the guy said his car was running great cause that was the first thing i asked when we stoipped,he was pretty much in udder shock as was i that he got beaten by a N/A 7,the drivebility of the car is still great

 

My black T2 with T04E and external wastegate, running on 2 of 6 apex seals will beat the daylights out ANY N/A second gen.

 

i wasnt asking who could beat me i was asking what could have been done to my car to enable me to beat him like that

 

Truthfully his car has got to be fucked up and you must have a streetport at least. I mean those cars have like a full second difference in 1/4 time and his mods should help him more than yours help you. Maybe he has his cats still and no downpipe and the car is just not running its full potential. Have you removed alot of weight?

You need to dyno your car out of curiousity.

 

is ur car fuel injection or carb?? because if u have carb, and a good street or bridge port.. you will definetly hang... and u said exhaust and header too... that couldve been it.. unless it has fuel injection and is basically stock except for header and exhaust which wonder tha hell out of me

 

the car fuel injected but it has the primary's and secondaries out of the t2 along with the fuel pump,it also has something done to the tb,but i didnt quite catch what he said was done to it.

 

I've driven an NA and a TII and I can personally way that the TII would smoke that thing if they were both in good order. Something had to be wrong.

 

maybe it was the driver LOL
