ok i know oil shuld eventually go down the more i drive lol i have to hrry and get back to class but i will edit later anyway i have been driving now for about 2 months and my oil has gotten alittle darker but it has not gone down since i changed it what could it be from?

 

Test your metering oil pump as per the instructions in the FSM.

It could also be that:

1. The engine was overfilled a lot during the previous oil change
2. The oil is being diluted with fuel. Is it very thin and does it reek of fuel?
3. You are not checking it properly.

 

your OMP might not be working correctly. what year is your car?

I would start pre-mixing 2-stroke oil in with your gas just to be safe. do a search for it.

EDIT: yeah, what aaron cake said make sure you're not checking it on a hill or something.

 

ok well the oil does not smell like fuel and it was on a flat surface when i checked the oil lol im pretty sure i no how to check oil lol

 

Hey Aaron, I think I'm having the same problem.. 89 Vert. I don't think my car was over filled when I last changed it though and it's almost been 3k since my last change. I'm not getting any codes and doesn't the car go into limp mode if the MOP stops working? Well my car is still running strong and stuff.. I guess I'll test the MOP. In the meantime While I'm here if the gas is diluting my oil.. that a bad sign correct? Is there anything I should be on the look out for?
