OEM like clutches or just inexpensive ones...

Anybody have experiences or know about Exedy clutches. They are from Japan, so I'm assuming they're good.

I was looking at prices and the local auto parts store have rebuilt clutch kits for around $150.
I think the OEM clutch kit is like $200.

when I say kit I mean the clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing, and alignment tool.

I just need to replace the clutch on a S4 GXL before I sell it and don't want to spend too much. I will need to get an OEM pilot bearing too, and might as well change the tranny seals.

any tips/suggestions, and no I'm not putting in an ACT or similiar clutch because I'm not looking to drop money in this car or keep it for long.

If you're going to sell the car, put in an inexpensive one. You can at least say it has a new clutch installed. $150 isn't bad. It still will be new!!

Yeah that's what I'm saying

I asked about the Exedy because it is new not rebuilt plus it's less than $150

Exedy makes some very high quality clutches.

In fact, the Signal Auto (www.signalauto.com) guys use Exedy clutches.
