OEM Front Lip

Has anybody ever seen the front lip that you could order from the factory? Or does anybody have any pictures of it?

I've been told you can go to the dealership and order a OEM front lip for like $275, you give them your paint code and it comes painted the stock color. It bolts right up like the black plastic piece that no one really has anymore b/c they dont' last. It sounds like something I might be interested in if anybody has any more info on them.

The OEM front chin is kinda tame.

I preferred just a little wilder.

The one on SureShot's car is not the factory lip.

You can order them painted from the factory - look at this thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ight=front+lip

Here's a couple pics of the factory one: That I stole from the Rotary Resurection site Gallery........ Thanks Kevin!

Does anybody know if these factory parts are urethane like out bumpers or non-flexible fiberglass?

I can see that the urethane would be more expensive but better in terms of surviving an unexpected impact with the curb!

Thanks

The lip is urethane...or some other type of flexible plastic.

Flexible compared to fiberglass anyways. My friends S5 came with one that's cracked down the middle, but you can still bend the **** out of it.

the first one is fiberglass and not factory. the second and third are factory and they are polyeurethane, so then bend.
