Well, I'm really not sure about this one so I'm asking for help.

I recently aquired another rx7, except its an NA this time. Shocks were blown, so I had just finished the rear change and was going to take for a test drive. Car won't start. I have a fuel cut-off switch but I don't think it's flooding. What concerns me is the really strange sound the starter is making, lol and the fact that the car won't start.

Basically, it makes this whining sound, just so strange. I have another starter that I know is good and swapped it in and still the very strange sound and it won't start. I have no idea what this is. It's not seized as all the pulleys are going. I still have to check compression (have to wait till tommorow to pick tester up from friend) so this is why I'm posting. I've flooded this car before, just to test the switch and it works fine. I've just never heard a car sound like this before.

Any ideas?
