CPU or ECU? What kind of noise are you hearing? Neither has moving parts (that I know of) so maybe you're hearing something else.

from the ECU, its a wierd noise...i noticed it the other day...I can hear it coming from the floor board. I cant describe it through a message board, but if i had to try, id say its like a printer sound maybe??? that doesnt really do it justice! lol

passengers floor ???

if so then I would be looking at an exhaust leak. The ECU does not contain any mechanical parts.

yes the passengers floor and no its not an exhaust leak. Its brand new exhaust and Ive checked and rechecked for leaks and its DEFINITELY not leaking. is there anything else that could make noise down there?

Aren't there some relays in the sidewalll of the passenger footwell? (rhetorical question) Maybe one is starting to go or something funky like that. Or maybe the bottom-most bolt on the right fender is loose or gone and the fender rubs now and again and makes the noise.

Taking shots in the dark here.

And just cuz the noise is coming from that direction doesn't mean it's coming from right there. Have you taken a passenger along who can stuff their head in under there and try to pinpoint the source of the sound?
