Well, I'm ignorant. I don't know what a SST is. I thought that was a Chevy product of some sort. Chevelle????
The only thing I know about 02 sensors is to tap into it with a digital meter and read the millivolts. And maybe watch its reading with the air pump working and not working. Different readings at the same idle speed. So, bump goes the thread.

just use a volt meter... if it's around .2 - .9 volts with the car running. the sensor is probably ok. as above rev it up and watch it move around between those 2 numbers or close.
if it reads 0 volts with it pluged in. and gets a reading with it unpluged. then the harness wire is shorted.

Mark, the SST used in this case is just a glorified voltmeter. Just check its voltages like Hailers mentioned. He's not that ignorant really...
