size of gas tank?

size of gas tank?

I have my car all torn apart and need to know the size of the gas tank b/c when it goes back together the OMP wont be.. so i am gonna run premix.. i have 1/4 tanks and need to know how much 2stroke to put in..

The s4 tank is 16.8 US gal and the S5 is 18. Not sure about the s5 though ince I don't own one.

I think 89 <?> was the year it went up so much. I think they went back to a 16.6. My vert holds 16gallons when I fill it from right at E.

Why don't you just drain it so you can get the correct mixture.

S4 was 16.6
S5 was 18.5

and a fill up of 16 gallons would be exactly right for a 18.5 gallon tank, as would a fill up of 14 gallons for a S4 tank.

Another reason why the S5 was heavier.

Manufacturers quote dry weights, so the size of the fuel tank will make a negligible difference to those figures. Besides, that 1.9gal extra fuel only weighs 12lb. If you really want a lighter car, just put less gas in.
