O2 sensor, Exhaust temp sensor failure cause loss of power, too much gas?

The ole seven hasnt been up to par lately... found out theres a leak in the exhaust manifold... but the guy said maby a failure in the o2 or temp sensor is causing to much gas to be fed, cauzing poor performance, bad gas mileage... could this be legit?

swap out the 02 sensor and find out. There could be a number of other stuff attributing to your problems.

Coolant temp sensor yes, O2 sensor no. The coolant temp sensor is quite important and a faulty one can cause problems, particularly if the ECU thinks the engine is colder than it really is. A faulty O2 sensor has almost no effect on how well the engine runs, since it's only used during light load cruise. Fuel consumption will increase a small amount.

Got a check engine light?

Also the aux intake ports may be stuck.

Exhaust temp sensor?
Exhaust floor overheat sensor?
#1 does not exist.
#2 does not affect how the engine runs.

It just lights up the warning light in the cluster when the grass under the car catches on fire.
