Cool O2 Sensor

So, i make the LED ECU checker, find that i get code #5 (o2 sensor malfunction) and look under the hood. Sure enough! the o2 sensor wire is just kinda laying there, not attached to anything.

So now the question is what do i attach it to? I took it to a shop, and the guys there told me that where is should be hooked up to, there is nothing that looks like a connector.

Where should it go? What does the connector look like? What does the o2 sensor end look like? AHHHHHHHHH!

somone help me please... pics helpful at this point in my life.

Jezz

It would be a black wire under you upper intake. It comes off the same batch of wires your injector connectors do. Thats on an S4 at least. Mine broke some time ago too.

Look for a single wire connector at the back of the engine, under the UIM. Mazda didn't give us a whole lot of extra wire to play with, so it's a tight fit connecting the sensor's plug back up to the harness plug in most cases...
