Nuts

nuts , nuts, nuts, . Do you have nuts? have you checked yours lately ? I mean in the stock air cleaner box. I do. The other day i was doing a tune up and was changing the air filter and found a bunch of acorns and other junk. Yep , you're right. RATS/MICE !! Those damn nasty little boogers were using my airbox for their food storage bin . Well, let me tell you first of all i live in the country on a 20 acre farm ( small one ). I have a 88 vert na. i only drive it on the week-ends . now what would you do. first i thought about setting some traps to kill them for having the nerve to violate my " 7 " , but then i would have to deal with the dead suckers and the traps. Soooo , here'a what i did . i took the old air filter and cut the wire mesh out and cut it to fit in the air duct intake, the opening on top of the radiator. all you have to do is remove the two 10mm bolts, pull the duct out and place the wire mesh in the bracket that holds the air duct then replace the bolts and you have a mouse guard that will keep those little Bastards out. Peace ex...

That may be the least of your problems. While living in a colder section of the country I discovered that the Squirrels/Rats were climbing into the engine bay for shelter. While there they decided to start chewing on my hoses, wires and connectors. It wasn't until my cruise control stopped working that I noticed. Fortunately I was able to repair the damage myself.

I learned from others in the area that if they find your car attractive, you may want to install bags of moth ***** in free spaces to keep them out.

Look at the bright side - they weren't packin' Brazil nuts....
They have no place in a can of "Deluxe" mixed nuts!

you need someone to help you. parts needed are three pairs of eye tweezers . have your helper take one pair of the tweezers, and you take the other. then you spread his wings and hold one wing and your helper holdes the other after you have spread them both open. then let your helper hold both of the tweezers keeping his wings spread apart , then you take the other pair of tweezers and remove the parts needed . there you go.

That's ok, after my g/f bought her TII, I went to change the airfilter and found a bird's nest in it.
