I noticed the tab is out of the groove. The bearing is in perfect shape it dosn't look like it spun at all it almost looks like someone put it in like that. Can i take the bearing out and put it back in the way its supposed to be? to me that don't sound like a good idea. Im affraid this bearing is going to spin on the dyno or at high boost.

just get a new rotor, you have to consider the risk, is it woth risking the engine for something relitively cheap that you already know is faulty? of is it better to spend a little more and have it done right. youd never be comfortable with that engine if you put that rotor in like that.

Thats a good idea but thats money i don't have to put into this car. I guess im going to try and take the bearing out and re-install it. Nothing can happen any worse than what it is now right..

The land the bearing sits in is bent from that clip, plus it looks as if the stationary gears got a hold of it and chewed the clip up on the edge. I say at the very least getting a new rotor. With the land bent like that, a new clip and bearing would probably end up the same way.

This picture i took makes it look WAY worse. I study this picture and the rotor. the land isn't really bent its more like idk how to explain it but i think it should be fine. The Clip isn't "chewed" up is appears somone bent it over with a screw driver and hammer or something like that. WIth the rotor in your hand you can see the bearing was actually installed this way and the reason the land looks bent is because they beat the clip into it. With the rotor in your hand you can see they tried to bend the left side of the clip far into the land

Wow never seen anything like this. If you wanna be safe just get a better used rotor with a good used bearing. Pressing in a new bearing may not always be as good as a used bearing in a rotor. Better safe than sorry......

Yea i know. I just don't have the money to spend on a rotor right now. the motor is all pretty new. i was going to press it out and put it in straight. Atkins built this motor.

it would be a lot cheaper to get a new rotor than to rebuild the motor after you spin a bearing. not to mention time and anguish.
