not holding idle help!!

I was reving up the engine and then hell had broke loose,it will or try to warm up and then the idle will go below normal.THe 88vert sat up four 1yr and im restoring it to oem.Everything work fine for weeks until i reved up the engine like if something got stuck. I've checked the amf and its perfect the throtle sensor the dash plug and its still having the same problems any advise would help thnak you!

have you adjusted the idle w/ the set screw..?

I do know this that I have a popping noise through the am side of the radio when that noise stops the car runs normal

also that when the ground on battery is off the car gets aliitle more rpms and when i put the cable back on it wants to like drain my motor of power

ok I also remember the exhaust making popping noises an my converter was glowing red hot

That it a classic symptom of weak grounds.
The basics: The ECU uses low voltage signals from sensors (like the TPS) to controls (like the BAC).
Most of these sensors have their own ground wires, but if the primary grounds are the least bit weak, the sensor grounds try to carry the noisy spark and alternator loads also.
I replaced the firewall to bell housing ground, and added an alternator to body ground.
Then I could get an accurate, repeatable TPS setting.
That fixed the idle problems completely.

my car wouldnt idle and ran like a bag of ****..

then i added 1 single ground from the battery to the lead coil mount, then it purred like a kitten..

what wire do i tap into on thr lead coil ,,under the plastic cap with the to wires????
