Exclamation not going into gear

yesterday i was rushing to the post office and took off from a light went to shift into 2nd gear and couldnt. Just like that couldnt get any gear there was no bang or pop onor did it shift wierd. I have been having the problem of my clutch not working properly when the car was not warmed up all the way. So i figured that my master or slave or both went out. Today i got them and installed the both. Bleed the system and found the flexible hose leaking. Replaved that also. Rebled the system and still cant get it into gear!!! I am wondering what else could be wrong...Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like pilot bearing...
Was the transmission having a hard time going into gear before?
Can you shift into the gears with the engine OFF?

I agree with the pilot bearing. If you're not too far from home, or the mechanic, turn it off, put it in 2nd, start it up, and drive slowly to where you have to go. Just make sure the road is clear for the most part as it won't come out of gear, so you may have it shut it off to stop the car. Be careful if you're doing this.

also with it in gear and the clutch pressed, If i try to start it it moves. That is why i think the throw-out bearing is shot. I am going to check the pilot also.

Drop exhaust, drive shaft, remove trans, clutch assembly, remove the pilot bearing, or what's left of the bearing (should be fun), then reinstall. Not too hard, but time comsuming and that trans is heavy. There are other items that need to be removed also.

actually everyone was wrong. It turned out to be the clutch, the damn thing was greater then 75% good but the flywheel side cracked in half ad that was causing it to stay engaged. I got a clutch kit for 140 plus tax and replaced the throwout pressure plate clutch plate and pilot bearing which was a bitch to chisle out. Also the tranny is very light compared to its size. has anyone taken a regular rx7 drive shaft off? mine weighed right around 10 to 20 lbs!?
