Not done with FC's yet! (long story)

I'm not through with FC's yet!
For those not following my story:

I had a mint 1990 TII, pretty decently modified; rebuilt, streetport, exhaust, intake, huge nitrous system, etc. I had dissassembled and rebuilt that car from the ground up over the last 16 months, and I really liked that car.

I had other plans for her in terms of mods (read: motor swap) until I took a ride in an FD, and fell in love. My TII, at the time, had the motor pulled, fogged, and stored for the winter. Shortly after my FD drive, I reassembled the TII, and sold her to a local buyer who had been lusting after the car for ages.

I only drove my TII from May-August last year, and drive a POS fuel-economy car during the rest of the year (tuition, parking, worry of damage, etc): a 1987 suzuki forsa 3 cylinder. Boring, but it's a fantastic beater car.

While... shortly after kissing my TII goodbye (and trust me, it was hard), I caught my eye onto a stock 86 GX with a blown motor. I bought the car cheap, brought it home, and am now building it up to be my daily driver.

The car is completely stock, and in mint condition. Everything works, 107K miles on her. Only replacement needed to the interior: a $9 defroster grill. Even the shifter feels great! (new bushings recently)

The car is Saphire blue metallic (new paint) with blue interior, p/s, pdl, tilt, p/m, CD player, alarm. Tires are Pirelli's on stock phone dial rims. Single piston brakes, and obviously, 4 lug.

I picked the car up last weekend, and pulled out all the motor and stripped it to shortblock last night. The front rotor ate itself. 0-0-0 psi pn the front rotor. Peering into the exhaust port with a flashlight, I see a scratched rotor face, and one missing apex seal. Rubbing my finger up through the exhaust port (kind of like banging a female), I feel a VERY deep grove in the housing. Obviously, this means the front rotor and housing are unusable. I'll have the motor apart tomorrow.

I am sourcing new/used parts as we speak, and will be rebuilding her shortly, with a port job (might bridge the auxilaries). I will be throwing on full exhaust (have the cat back already), full intake, CDI, flywheel, clutch, and the remnants of my nitrous syetm. I might even add some fancy rims and tires and some springs, but nothing too extreme. This is just a commuter.
Should make for a fun daily driver, and definitely better than the 3 banger commuter.

I hope to be buying my FD in April, when school lets out.

Anyway.... just thought I'd let you guys know. Look for a few new ideas for you N/A guys in the up and coming...

Why do I think RarestRX is gonna quip in:

Good call on RarestRX, but I'll take the first reply. At least you didn't go with a damned FD yet. What are you planing on running for your nitrous setup? And where the hell are the pictures!?

God, everyone with their pictures!
I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

Nitrous system: single stage direct port 100 hp to start out with, purge valve, bottle heater, 15 lb bottle, retard (my new system ) and progressive controller.

umm. Isn't 4 lug SE and base only? I thought gxl's had upgraded suspension and braking(close to TII package)?
5 lug and 4 piston fronts

Or did early s4's all have single piston and 4 lug on gxl's?

I'm assuming you mean GXL since you put GX.

Yell at me if I'm wrong.

Yo,

Now now...you're the one using the "N" word in your spoof post...wasn't me. Trying to imply I'm a racist is making you sound like a dick. You can still click "edit"...quick now! Press it!

LOL, you took that pretty seriously. I was just pointing out a comical-sounding typo is all. No real racism intended.

I called you a racist as a joke, not to be a dick.

I think I am going to call me girlfriend Nogga.

It is called the "boosted beaver", and comes stock with maple tree taps and a 6-pack cup holder.

So Scathcart, are you still making a nitrous "kit" for FCs? I was really looking forward to that
