Noob here!!! 88 RX7

So ill be picking up a white 88 rx7 se this week, actually trading my 89 civic hatch with a b16 swap. Dont get me wrong i like hondas but something about rotary has always interested me. My plans are to build a clean touge style car, by the way i am obcessed with these country back roads around my area. Ive heard a lot about the FC's near perfect power to wieght distibution. Im pretty sure even with the mods i had done to my civic that the rx7 will handle quite a bit better with the right parts. My first question is, the thing needs exhuast bad. Im leaning towards the buddy club spec2 exhuast. i know its hidiously loud, but its sort of a selling point for me as well as the look. so is there anyone who knows what its like in person, or knows where i can find a sound/video clip. It also needs seats pretty bad, the drivers side is ripped up and i know i wont be able to stand it. Which seats fit the easiest, im looking for solid bucket style, once again the buddy club regular and not the wide version. just gimme some oppinions and i look forward to hours and hours of sitting here posting and replying!

So here she is and im posting a picture of something along the lines of what i wanna go with.

This gives an idea of where im headed with it.

and yes i got this picture from here haha

^^^ LOL!!! dont scare the poor kid man. GO WOOP On the guy u sold the car too on the touge!!! GOGO!

my suggestion to you? Learn how to take all emessions out.(rats nest) If your area is koo with emissions then take the darn cat. out. HOnestly i would go with el cheapo exhaust.and headers. NO need to spend 500+ on exhaust. Well. Maybe a good header and cheapo exhaust from header.

Especially if you want loud and looks - any ebay muffler will do. You'll be putting the earplugs in before you start it up in no time!

Getting you wrong for ditching the Civic is something you don't need to worry about here. You're better off that way. Welcome and take care of it.

Very clean car man, congrats!... exhaust wise, I would go with Racing Beat. Not sure about seats. Look into suspension too... if you want a good touge car.

Racing Beat is my exhaust of choice for these cars. It really does sound awesome.

If you're into loud and want a single exit, I'd go with a Corksport Exhaust.

in actuality, it all depends on how much your budget is. exhaust and intake first, then you can do the rest after that. watch out for the radiator if you still have the original one. might wanna think of getting either Koyo or Fluidyne. i'm pretty sure the guys around here will agree.

Those wheels look odd, poking out of the wells. What a clean car though, hope you like it!

racing beat exhaust is very high quality but. If your a raw performance guy than loudness would not matter. Plus who wants an extra 10-30 lbs +- because you want a nice sounding dual.... BLAH! My car runs on NAMEbrand downpipe. With el cheapo exhaust with no cat. Kinda loud. But who cares i love the rotary sound. especially when boost hits=D
