non-turbo vs. turbo springs?

i've seen lots of spring companies, ie:racing beat, that has the same springs for turbo and N/A rx7's. i was looking at rs-r race springs and they only have a listing for turbo rx7's and i really want to get their race springs...

so is there really a difference from n/a to turbo springs?

turbos came with the sport-tuned suspension, which was available in some n/a models (coincidentally, my 88 GTU came with it). They are just stiffer springs. these aftermarket springs will fit your car fine.

what about 3 gen springs, can they be mounted on FC's?

If so do are they better than the TII springs

Invalid question since both cars use drastically different suspension designs.

thanks, the owner of the first FC I was looking to buy had told me his car had FD springs on. I thought it was suspicious but since I was new to these cars ( still am) I took his word for it.

(((((((so is there really a difference from n/a to turbo springs?()))))))))))))))))

The answer is "it depends". If your talking about a series four, w/o the auto suspension and not a convertible, the the rear springs on a turbo and the n/a are the same on the rear.

On the front, same conditons as above, if you selected the HARD springs for the front on your n/a, then the part number is the same b/t turbo and non turbo.

There seems to be three springs for the front on a n/a. NORM CONVERTIBLE, NORM COUPE and HARD SUSPENSION (same as the turbo).

I looked at the parts catalog that I downloaded a couple of years ago.

As a hint, go look at MAZDATRIX suspension page for springs.
