Non-turbo to turbo

I read all the FAQ as is required before posting this question.

Has anyone out there ever taken a series four non-turbo and installed a series four turbo, series four upper and lower intake manifold with its series four throttle body????

And if you did, how did it turn out?

I even read the FAQ on the other site and did a world wide online search using GOOGLE.. Spare me the search button idea.

Yes...There are several posts on my NA Turbo forum (like in FAQ) of people doing just that.

Ok. I'll visit that site and learn a thing or two. For what it's worth, doing it this way I can keep my ACV for emissions. Although the feed for the acv in the turbo goes to the intermediate housing, and the acv passage for the na goes to the end housings, I think I have more than enough room to tap the lower intake manifold just below the acv and install two unions and use them to feed the outer housings. The rear can be fed through a blockoff plate on where the EGR goes....and the front can be tapped straight into where that rectangular hole in the front housing meets the turbo lwr intake manifold.

Gotta meet emissions without jumping thru hoops and that's the way IMHO.

For turbo water I'm just going to drill out that passage just opposite the turbo lwr intake manifold....just like on a turbo. For oil....gonna tap that housing right where the turbo taps it......or finally use that old RacingBeat adapter that goes just below the filter for the feed.

For turbo oil return going to tap into that BOSS on the front of the front housing and install a 3/8 NPT fitting with a right angle .....OR since I'd have to buy a tap for that that will probably cost ten to twenty bucks, just buy a turboii front cover and be done with it. Life's good.
