non turbo transmission front gasket?

I've just ordered a front cover for my transmission for where the throwout bearing sits from mazdatrix, but failed to order the gasket for it. I was just wondering if anyone ever replaced this gasket or have they sucessfully used scilicone and got the job done. its just that if i order it front mazdatrix, its going to take another year before i get it and shipping is gonna be ball blowing.

And expert advise is appreciated.

I think you could use RTV if used sparingly. Then you have to think. What if I apply it wrong and then it leaks after I install the transmission? Duh.

I have a non turbo car I suspect is leaking there and bought the gaskets. Bought two. Have not used them YET. I'ts a small leak that can WAIT.

Or you could just make a gasket out of a roll of gasket paper for three or four bucks and an exacto knife.

When the shop rebuilt my transmission, they just used RTV.
