The john1234f kid that started this thread goes to my school. I have been trying to preach the rotary gospel to him. His dad is a conservative guy who wont buy a car unless it is ten years old and will go 300000 miles. Cut him some slack, he has never been on here before.

"Well last time i check Turbos lick *****. The turbo model of the rx7 at least the 2nd gen version was the biggest mistake mazda every made it was heavy and slow and handles like a truck Mazda added like 750 pounds to the turbo models and completly screwed up the Rx7 driving abbility if you really want something fast get a non - turbo and put the turbo conversion kit on it."

I now feel dumber for having read this...of everyone here you are the one who seriously needs some studying. Wow...I really feel dumber for having read that...and worse yet responding to it. F*cking dumb ***...

I guess some NA owners feel that like their small *****, they must try to disguise it and defend its usefullness to the death, even if it means creating the most absurd lies from out of thin air. People who are secure with their NA will admit that they are slowish, but serve their own purpose.

Since most people on here judge a cars quality and 'superiority' by 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, then yes, NA's aren't that good or fast.

But the few of us that enjoy driving the snot out of our cars on windy roads while powersliding around corners can appreciate what an RX-7 is really all about.

Hats off to PD_Day and the guy in the white GSL-SE, who showed the FD and turbo guys this weekend that with a capable driver, even NA's can hang with them where it really counts.

PP, B-port, whatever... I challenge ANYONE to show me a 13 sec timeslip from a N/A WITH NO NITROUS! I will publicly apologize should that blessed event ever occur.

Until that day comes...

N/As are SLOW! LIVE WITH IT!

Ever heard of Jesus Padilla? He runs a 10.25 quater mile in the all motor class. no turbo, super or NOS. His car is an 85 GSL-SE with a n/a 20b in it. Hows that for N/A being slow?

Could you explain why you think that putting a Turbo on a N/A will be better than just buying a Turbo2???

I think you all should get back on subject. N/A's are fast for a while, but once you've pushed it to the edge you get tired of it and want something more, which is the turbo.

Werd. N/as can be fast, but not alot of potential while still being streetable. But compared to other small displacement n/a engines, the 13B can make alot of power.

That's a useless arguement jgrts20, someone will always find a bigger turbo that you. Try to get a car good enough for you, not your ego.

I have to agree with the dirty rat I have NEVER, EVER seen actual proof of any non-stripped NA 13b hit 13s. Just claims and rumors of people doing it *shrug*

Im planning on trying for 13s when my car is all together. Lets try and get a mod list from the top of my head.. : Superchips ECU/S-AFC/Large Streetport with S5 N/A rotors/removed 6PI actuators with Pineapple sleeves/RB header/Bonez HF cat/CS catback/Alum flywheel/ACT HD clutch,PP/Cone intake/4.3 GTUs rear diff/Full tociko suspension/removes AC and PS, along with slight weight reduction.
Hopefully I can break into the 13s with that....

I plan on maybe getting a SAFC, and maybe a few cheapo mods, ie e-fan, weight redux, ect. If that doesnt get me into the 13s, then Im done. I plan on saving up for my 3rd gen, hopefully I can get a decent one within a year.

I'll be running standalone, huge monster port, act 6 puck, cone intake, 4.1 limited slip (wish i could get a 4.3), probably custom single exhaust, agx shocks, alum flywheel, pineapple sleeves, ported intakes, tb mod, stripped interior (keeping carpetting, nothing else though), pulling the dash and removing every peice of dead weight I can behind it, manual steering rack, lightweight rims, and a 75shot to make sure I get there.
