hello, i am new to the board. i have done a little bit of research on the non turbo 13bs and purchased one to put one in my 1986 Corolla hatchback(AE-86). anyway i was wondering if anyone here could tell me a little more about this motor, such as stock injector sizes, throttle body size, and redline. the motor came with the transmission but not ecu or harness. i found one on ebay, but was wondering if someone on here might have one and want to get rid of it? thanks.

 

Welcome aboard! Check the archive and various FAQ stickies for some of the questions you ask. The redline is around 8 grand for the N/A, but in day-to-day driving you will probably only hit 5-6.

An 86 Corolla? interesting test subject... Not ther heaviest car to put rotary power into- I know a guy who runs a 13b in a Chevy Blazer drag car. It's a TERROR!!

 

its been done before. well atleast a 20B single turbo. its on a video floatin around here. so im sure you could fit a 13B in one. if you have the stuff to fabricat all of it go for it and keep us posted.

 

4x460cc, staged injection (2 primaries run all the time, 2 secondaries only come on when necessary).

3 runners (first one split into 2 primary intake runners, 2 remaining secondaries feed one each secondary intake runner), each runner about 20-25mm (sorry, never measured exactly).

8krpm on this engine.

I can sell you the computer and harness if you need...$150 shipped for the pair.

 

sxyrxy, ive seen the 20b corolla, but i dont want that much hp. all i am looking for is about 200 - 250. i am building a drift car. i heard that the nonturbo 13b has a lot of hp potential as well as a little more reliability than the turbos(feel free to correct me if im wrong).
