Non Destructive Mods
Hey All,
I have a 89 Turbo II. Right now, the only mod it has is an HKS Catback.
I do want to build horsepower on the car, however, I don't really want to do anything that involves cutting into or modifying the car in a way that I wouldn't be able to turn it back to stock (if I wanted to in future).
Therefore, if anyone has recommendations on mods made for the car, or bolt on mods, I would appreciate it.
Thanks in Advanced.

There are many many bolt ons from headers, to midpipe, to even a turbo upgrade! It really depends on how much money you want to spend. Give us a price range, and we'll see what we can do. ^_-

Upgrades
Hey AJ,
Heh. Yeah of course...$$$
Well..luckily my budget is fairly large. I'd prefer not to drop 3 grand on a single component. But I'd spend up to 1k depending on the results that I'll see.
I'd definitely like a larger downpipe if possible. Also, boost controller, hi-perf cat, and intake.
I was trying to get a feel for what others are using and their real-life experience and opinions on the products.
Also, another big question...is intake worth doing?
Thanks for the reply.

That's coo! In any case here's my setup. I have an 88 GXL which is an NA car. Cuz I don't have the luxury of turbo I had to go with more of a 'sustain speed around every corner' setup. ^_-
Big Sticker = 5 Hp *joking joking
KYB Struts all around
Eibach Springs all around
OBX Strut bar - Front
Suspension Techniques Sway Bars
Carbeau car seats
Mazdatrix short shifter
HKS Cat back exahust
Racing Beat header and presilencer
*Quick tip on headers, keep your old cat and stuff cuz you'll need it for emissions IF you have it.
K&N intake
Big phat stereo. *Too many things to write down cuz I'm too lazy at this moment in time.
Alright, intake is definately worth doing in the sense that you'll need it for higher performance applications. Because you have a turbo, if you start making large modifications to your car in terms of HP and boost, you'll eventually have to get new fuel pump and fuel system to compliment your newly added boosts. Stuff like this can be found all over the forum.
My car although pretty damn slow IMO on the straightaways, rips around corners like a beast. I've had cadillacs and countless Hondas kick my *** on the straightaways but when it was time to take a corner, I barely even let my foot off the gas. They've slowed down to 40-50 on certain corners while I'm taking them at around 70 and sustaining that speed through the next straight. Dont' get me wrong, I'm not saying speed is bad, I just feel SUSTAINING the speed is more important. ANYWAYS, hopefully this will help, and Good Luck!!!
