no warning buzzers

so none of my warning buzzers work for some reason. the other thing is my "add coolant" light never shuts off and the system is absolutely full. today I grounded the sensor and the light still did not shutoff. I even restarted the car to check. basicly the light will stay off for about 3 seconds after startup, then go on no matter what.

does the body computer control the coolant buzzer? I tried one out of an s4 and it does the same thing.

btw its a 91 coupe.

Did this just start all of a sudden or has it always been this way?

ok, well I did some investigating and figured out why my buzzer wasnt working (see attached pictures) Took the buzzer out of a junkyard s4 cluster, resoldered it and now it works great, But I now know why they pulled it out. the coolant buzzer will not go off no matter what! I grounded the sensor wire but it does not shut off still, what to check next?

Well, I figured it out. I figured i'd post what happened incase anyone searches for warning buzzer in the future.

so basicly somehow the wire after the coolant level sensor broke somewhere in the engine/dash harness and wasnt giving the cluster the ground signal it needed to not trip the light. The coolant level control unit waits for a ground after you start the car and if it dosent recieve one in 6-8 seconds after startup it triggers the buzzer.

In my case instead of finding the break in the wire, one of the previous owners of my car physicly removed the warning buzzer itself from the instrument cluster and pulled the bulb in the idiot light panel.

After resoldering in a new warning buzzer I ran a new wire directly from the level sensor to the brown/white stripe wire on the instrument cluster plug (white plug on s5 cars). that finaly took care of the issue.
