No voltage reading at tps with DMM?!?!
After adjusting my TPS to 1K ohm I found the light about adjusting it to 1V. So I whipped out the ol' DMM and get no volt reading. Red probe to green wire, and black probe to - on battery, with the key to "on" with car fully warmed up. The 2 light tester doesn't work either... Only the ohm reading. What the heck could cause such a mess???
Car:
88 vert w/jdm s5 T2 engine tore down and rebuilt with mild streetport.
S4 T2 ecu modded rtek 1.7
S4 T2 AFM
RC 550cc primary, 750cc secondary
Walbro 255
FMIC
RFL HKS BOV
There's more just unrelated to the issue.
I'd like to figure out why there's no voltage reading. Obviously electrical somewhere but where's a good place to start?

If the engine 15amp fuse blew then wouldn't the car not start? Dumb question I know...

You are correct. It would have to blow after the car was turned off then. Also, w/key to on the Brown/White wire from the harness that connects to the TPS would need to register 5 volts. And an iffy Main Relay could also cause the problem. If the Br/W wire tests out then the relay is doing its job as well as the relevant fuses. And if the Red meter lead was not making contact w/the R/G wire that would cause a blank reading. Make sure that the meter lead is wedged into the back of the connector tightly. And if you by mistake placed a meter lead on the positive battery terminal instead of the negative terminal then you would get no reading.

Okay so I got around to checking this problem. When I probed the brown and white wire it shows 5.22 V, and when I probed the green and red wire it shows .22 V. And with a sweep check, the voltage never changed on the g/r wire. It won't adjust. But when I probe the b/w wire on the harness side of the plug it shows the 5.22 V, and when I probe the TPS side it shows 0. wtf???
