no spark could mean bad alternator?
i read a few posts after searching and a few people say the alternator might be bad if the car has no spark... well mine doesnt have spark but i do not see how that could affect the car not having spark when the alternator is just there to charge the battery, yes it could be bad but im not getting spark as of now and i am jumping or did earlier my car... the battery also tested HOT so the battery is good, with a possible bad alternator could that affect the spark even when you are jumping the car or have a good battery? if so how do i test to see if the alternator is good? thanks in advance guys

sure... if your battery is dead...
learn some general automotive, the sparkplugs don't care where the power comes from, so long as its there. Or rather the coil packs don't care. Anyhow... check fuses... check lots of stuff.
But more importantly, how do you know they aren't firing? Many people have assumed they aren't firing when their car is just overly flooded...

If the altenator is good, the voltage across the battery terminals will be around 14V when the car is running...
Since your car SINT running.. Take the altenator into autozone, advance or pepboys and they can check it.
If your battery is good, the car should start even with a dead altenator....
The only way i can think of that the altenator could cause no spark is if the altenator was grounding out and taking voltage completely away from the system... this is simple to check... simply remove the wiring plug and the loop conector from the top of the altenator and turn the engine over
are you not getting spark on the leading or the trailing plugs or both... if its one or the other, you got a bad coilpack.. if its both... you got an ECU or CAS problem..
