Unhappy no power steering/terrible idle WTF MATE?!

aight so i just bought a turboII annnnnnnnd i got no power steering even though the pump is still there. and i have to manually idle the car. which is a pain in the glueus (quite literally) cuz i gotta balance all three pedals when coming to a stop. i know that i need to check the bac valve and all these other valves and vacuum hoses. but none of them seem to be outta wack. i also checked the archives and searched but were either too complicated or it didnt pertain to my problem. please help and thank u very much. have a nice day.

pull the ps you'll have more fun actually having to TURN the wheel

as for idle, have you tried messing with the idle screw? it might be turned all the way down

Well, if they both happened at the same time............ .maybe the PS pump failed and is causing a TON of parasitic drag? take off the PS belt and see if your idle improves... Other than that, standard troubleshooting measures should be taken. Check the FSM for these procedures.

I'd make sure some hack job didn't already try deleting the PS by doing somethign like plugging the lines in search of elusive horsepower.

Idle can be and probably is one of the many causes found in the archives. If you have a healthy engine with a smooth operating throttle body that isn't full of gunk, a spec'd TPS, a functioning BAC, a recent tune up (ie. plugs aren't pooched etc.) no vac leaks, clean proper sized injectors then the car should idle decent.

naah...he said that the car's motor was just rebuilt. that being true...idk. the car does pull like a ************. and i cant see any vac leaks. however...there are like three plugs that are just disconnected. sitting there. btw...stupid question here: does incorrectly installing a turbo timer mess up idle? and where is this idle screw? and i do think that the power steering pump removal was a hack job. dammit...any one in nj can come by and see what the !@#$ this man has done to this beautiful car of mine?
