no power steering belt!
well I took my power steering belt off yesterday. and it's still off! it's not that much harder to drive around normal. just takes a bit more effect. but it's so much better under hard cornering. I'll probably be pulling the pump out soon. it's take up so much dam space.

Man, i took my belt off once and hated it. Had to really yank on the wheel a bunch to make it turn. Really sucked when the car wasnt moving very fast. I have no a/c, no windshield wipers, no smog devices, no radio, but i have my power steering installed!

I haven't drove a manual rack RX-7, but I assume it would be easier to turn than one with P/S and no belt, due to the mechansim...

maybe you need to hit the gym
I don't find it that much harder. you just have to make sure you are rolling a bit before you start turning. but you shound be driving like this anyways or it puts way more stress on stuff.
