If your Rack right NOW is a TRUE manual rack it wil have No Lines to it,and No plugs where lines were,or Looped lines...Manual racks are preferred by alot of Guys.I myself like In town driving with a Coffe,so Power steering all the way!
If you are going back to power steering you are going to need the Pwer Steering rack for that Series of car(s4/s5) and also it's Pump assembly and Lines, and cooling lines..Oh and Both Frame Mounts for that Rack..appropriate Tie rod ends.(check part Numbers)
another thing is the Power steering ECU which is located on the driver's side Kick panel.
It's not a One hour Job for sure. It's a Good Whole day job just to Set it in and make sure it is OK..

It's a personal decision, no way for anyone else to decide for you.

I removed my power steering and installed a manual rack.
Even with larger/wider wheels and tires (235/45/17), I don't find the effort too high even slow speed, city driving.
I like the manual but lots of folks prefer the powered setup.

Like I said, a personal decision.

The power rack does have a quicker ratio and is easier to turn (just a little), but the manual rack is a lot lighter and doesn't require the lines, pump, belt, etc. If you have no issues with driving the car the way it is, and the conversion was not a hack job, then why not keep the manual rack?

If you go back to the power steering, you'll need the rack, lines, cooler, belts, pump, bracket, power steering ECU, inner tie rod ends and maybe a few little things I am forgetting.
