no power at all

hey im the proud new owner of a 87 Rx7, and so far ive had no complaints until now, the other day i ran the battery completely dead and so we decided to just put another battery in, but when we did nothing happened. so we looked at the fuse box thing under the hood and saw that the main one was blown, but when we tried to pull it out it simply crubled, where do i get a new one or what can i do to get it to run in the meantime?

thanks, Yhatzee

The main fuse is bolted in. You have to take the top cover off and there are 2 side pieces you have to remove as well for you to get to the 2 bolts.

You can get the fuse from any auto store.

the main one, the middle black one right, take the two surrounding 10mm bolts off then pull those clips from the side to access two more 10mm bolts then just pull the fuse out, it the only one that needs to be unbolted, it cost maybe a buck or two at autozone

please note, that if the main fuse is blown and you swapped the battery there is a good chance you have the battery in backwards.

Remember the neg (-) lead of the battery is the one that is nearest to the headlight, while the Positive lead (+) is the one nearest to the fuse box.

Don't mix them up, or confuse the large gauge Black/Yellow (-) with the large gauge solid black (+).
