Arrow No oil usage but now not as much power???

Ok in some of my previous threads i stated that i was using alot of oil like alot, and i figured it was the oil control rings, but now its not using near as much oil, but it seems like i dont have as much power, i can tell a bit of a loss of power, and one other thing is that now almost everytime i crank it, right when it cranks it backfires like one or two time, only thing ive done recently is change plug wires, i put in RB 8mm wires, except for one which was bad, i havent looked at the plugs lately

any ideas

o 90 n/a

First question has to be: Are the plug wires on right?

How's the timing?

Also check for vac leaks...

yeah plug wires are on right, dont know about the timing, ive tried the vac leak test thing by spraying water, but ima get some carb cleaner and try that, i didnt find none tho, other things are that it idles at like 1500 in the moring, and like 900 in the evening, i think thats very odd but sometimes its 1500 all the time, and a little pulsing, also not accelerated warm up no more,

Lol, you wouldn't happen to have a leaking EGR valve block-off plate like yours truly, would you?

Gonna fix that biatch tomorrow

Contact cleaner or brake care works really well for finding vac leaks, that's ****'s like Halon- it'll start to kill the engine if it sucks in just a whiff of that stuff through a leak. Discovered that little tidbit while spraying around the block-off plate, lol...
