No oil pressure

Well I was driving and realized that smoke was coming out from under the hood and my motor was hot. I pulled over and saw that I split a cooling hose so I got towed home.
I fixed the hose and started the car to see if it leaked and I noticed I did not have any oil pressure. The oil levels were fine says the dip stick, but I have no other way to check the pressure. Could this be a bad pressure sending unit or do I have a massive problem?

Fixed it, ground wire fell off the pressure sender.
