Very sorry about your car. Maybe a little late but I'm very impressed with your work. FC's are unique and beautiful but yours was a perfect 10!

Wicked job on that car, only thing I dont like is the shiny stuff on the front light setup. Looks to much like something from nasa. Other than that

Dude, I have to say, your FC is the single sexiest car I have ever laid eyes on. I would love to have that light kit, as well. I hope that you get everything fixed the way it was beforehand, or better. Good luck. And I feel the same way about the police. My locals are my friends, but the highway patrol always finds a way to PIIMB.

Are you going to restore it to exactly like you had it before? I hope so, that was sweet

I have a completely unrelated question for you, though. It says you have a remote start in it with a neutral switch, isn't that a standard ? If so, how did you put a neutral switch in it? or where is it located if this is a mazda factory item? Thanks!

The neutral switch, does it pop the car into neutral or just detect whether or not it's in gear?

wow.

sorry to hear about the wreck. that's the problem with fiberglass - it isn't meant to be even tapped. makes me scared to mod mine.

in theory the switch should just detect when the car is in neutral. in the context of a remote starter, if it's not in neutral, it won't let the car start.

Just detect, it is the factory switch which is why I trust it, since it is not rigged up it should last, also I isolated my connection to it with a diode and it goes through a relay since I needed the opposite output. (nuetral when IN gear)

I used the FSM that is online. I think it is available from FC3S.org. The haynes may have the colors too, I cannot remember for sure it was some kind of green, but I don't remember what color stripe it had. I got it from just to the right of the center console, from the main ecu harness under the carpet in a group of about 50 wires. It is tight to pull the carpet back enough to get it but it is there. As for the handbrake, that was cinch, since it was right there under the mirror switch panel.

I hope this helps,
John

I am still working on the Jspec swap at the moment, the front bumper was half fixed when the motor arrived....and of course at that moment......I was a bit distracted from the bodywork.

lol, understandable. I'm considering doing the turbo swap, but if i do i'll probably go for aftermarket ECU. Of course, that's a long way down the road from now.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the compliments, I really like the way the targa looks, can you send me some close ups of it and how it mounts on the car?
