YES I really do, I changed my mind about silver after seeing this blue, I will post pics of the jams I painted today later tonight. Please send the video to me if you can. I have Cable and Irc so whatever your method I should be able to get it.

Ok here they are........

These are some pictures of the parts that I base coated and cleared today in my driveway (like a shade tree body shop :-)). My friend who is a paint sales rep. said it was about the best novice work he had ever seen. I was pretty proud of how the stuff came out. Next is hanging the parts back on and getting the outside done in a booth if I can find one available. I SO MUCH have a hard on to drive it this weekend.

And here is one more of the door jamb to try to relate what an awesome color this is.

Should be great when it's done. Even the door jam is impressive. Nice choice of color.

Thank you, I take that as a real compliment from a fellow rigger like myself. You had me considering one of my old favorite colors (yellow) again, but as always I either chicken out for find a color I like better.

That was my first choice but the silver stainless screws againt the black glass just looks cool as hell in person. The pictures give good illustration but take the look of these out of context. By themselves and unfinished the modules look kind of gaudy even to ME. But with chromed internal walls, and the top vent painted they will look really sharp, I could find a way to hide the screws totally but I think they add to the custom fabricated look, kind of how the little bolts showing on some 3 piece wheels, the hood pins of a real race car do.

P.S. that comment excludes the ridiculous ricers in Hondas with stock motors, 4 hood pins, 6" exhaust tip, and a tach on the hood.

It has always been my fav. I had a lot of second thoughts due to it making my car so conspicuous (I am pretty shy) but decided that no other color would be right for it. If you can spray your small parts that well you should do fine on the rest of the car. How large is your compressor? If you have a small one like me, you can panel paint to keep from running out of air. Since you have the vert you won't have to worry about doing the entire roof, side pillars, rear fenders, rear fascia and bumper all in one go (which would pretty much deplete my 13 gallon air supply at 55 psi).

That is one seriously SICK vert in the making. The color rocks, and your light kit is sweet, too.
Gotta respect the guys who have the nads to do their own paint- the most I have tried is re-spraying one panel that got rubbed by some a@@ in a parking lot, and I was really apprehensive about it, but not as apprehensive as shelling out five hundred bills to have someone else do it! I guess us cheap seven drivers are forced to be a little more inventive. Hell, if we had money to burn, we'd all be drivin rx-8's!!!

I have a 30 gallon with a 6hp 150psi from sears but it really won't keep even pressure for doing the whole car. I would do sections at a time but I also have no booth at all. My garage is attached to the house and the fumes would not be good for my wife, 3 year, and 2 month old daughters. So I will wait for a few days or a week longer until someone I know can fit me in to shoot it in a real booth, plus the dirt would be horrendous outside. I guess it will be worth the wait, plus I have to fix a door that fell off one of the garbage cans it was sitting on and got dented/scratched up. It was so hot outside that the plastic can softened and buckled in the heat. I can say there is one thing that I wish was'nt made like rubbermaid yesterday.

Ummm.....
Please tell me you are not spraying with 2pac paint in your own shed? because that'd be like illegal and really not good for your health with all those cyanide compounds flying around in the air and your lungs..

If by 2pac you mean paint that has a seperate stabilizer then yes, but it was outside and I wore a mask. But you are right auto paint is some serious stuff and should not be taken as lightly as Krylon. As a matter of fact it is against the law to sell any kind of spray paint to anyone under 18 in the city I live in (Kenner, metro N.O.)
