No "interior" Electrical power ????
I go to start my 89GTU and all I get is a key chime. The seat belts don't retract
when you open the door, no radio, no AC. I do have interior dome lights & exterior
lights. I'm thinking clutch switch, but that don't explain the seat belts. I had battery
tested and it tested good.
I'm too busy to screw with it, so I tow it to the shop. He claims a main power line
from the battery came lose from the fuse pannel and charges me $75.00. So I
drive home, shower then go out to eat and have the same problem again.
Now i'm thinking he changed a fuse and charged me $75.00. Does anyone have
any Idea's? My car is stuck at this restaurant, wich closed early do to bad weather
and I didn't even get to eat.
Thanks,
Brad

First thing to check, of course, is all of your fuses. If one is blown, then let us know which one & we'll go from there. Check the security of the main wiring near your engine bay fuse box, also, in case the mechanic is an idiot...

Main Fuse Location?
I didn't realize the main 80amp fuse was under the fuse block on the shock tower.
From what I've read you have to remove the fuse block mounting screws to get to
it?
Is this correct? I think I'll find that the main fuse is blown, but I finding out why might
be tricky. What ever this problem is it happens when the ignition is turned off. The
car is fine until you turn off ignition, and then it will not start back. I drove it 3 times
after I picked it up from the shop the on the 4th start it was dead. May a short a start
is the problem?? I'll have to watch and see when I loose power to the seat belts.
Thanks,
Brad
