Sure it is the factory alarm??? How are you disarming it when it goes off?

Normally when triggering as you described, it is related to dirty latch switch contacts in the interior door switches, or a bad trunk seal.

on s4 cars, the factory alarm brain is located behind the glove compartment.. remove the glove compartment and there will be a silver box.. just disconnecting the harness clip from the box will disable the factory alarm.. I'm not sure if the location would be the same on an s5

S5 it is part of the computer, so you have to ground a cable out to disable it. I forgot the color.

Icemark: Dirty latch switch contacts? What does that mean?

S5 (89-91) models have the factory security system built into the CPU. (However I suspect that RX7Boy06 has an aftermarket system).

The S5 models do not have a seperate brain box like a S4 model. So any S4 brain box info posted is a waste of time and bandwidth.

You can unplug a parts of the S5 CPU, but you loose some other functions then.

The latch switch is the switch built into the interior latch of the door. The little lever that you push to lock and unlock the door, inside the car.
