Cool no idle, runs great

I have a 91n/a. Car had not been run in over 18 months. Motor was bad. I replaced it with a known running motor, one of mine from another car, started a little sluggish but started none the less. The car has great acceleration, but will not cruise or idle. I checked the maf and tps and they ohmed in specs. Is it possible for it to be running off the 2ndaries on acceleration and the primarys not be working? Any other ideas are welcomed, Thanks

I like the two toned paint.

I'd say check for major vac leaks. It sounds like you have one.

Thanks, I found the upper plenum gasket had two small cracks. Car runs great.

Very nice. I like your engine stand too, hehe.

BTW, say you had your UIM off to play with your injectors and replaced it with a new OEM gasket say... 2 months ago. Would it be ok to re-use that gasket as long as you're careful taking it off? I have a ... friend that wants to muck around with stuff again.

Yeh, if the gasket is allright, then reuse it. I spray copper gasket sealer on everything anyway though
