It sounds like you might have a vac leak. Search for "finding vac leaks" or something similar. Your tps could also be out of spec, or the idle speed adjust messed up.
What all did you do since it last worked right?

well i bought the car with the blown motor and when i bought the motor i jsut put in i watched the guys pull it out of the car and even took it for a test drive before and it ran fine. i did pull the middle intake manifold so i could put the oil metering lines in but im sure i plugged everythign back in. would it be worth pulling all the emissions and just getting it registered in toelle?

i orderd them already just got to go and get them. would that cause it not to idle at all? when i put it back on though that gasket was still good and i tightened them all down but the bolt and is closest to the front of the car was broken off before i pulled it. i have another shoudl i jsut go ahead and pull the emissions and replace the middle intake manifold? and see if that works?

ok well a friend came over tonight and messed with it and i left one plug undone and the trhottle cable was loose and we tightened it up and it started idling but it only idles at a high idle around 1000-1500. were thinking sice i had already pulled the middle intake from the lower intake off that a vac line might have gotten stuck in between it or somthing so there might be a leek somewhere. not sure yet but ill stay posted
