No Hesitation, yet........no 5th & 6th port

Ok, i fixed a very big vacuum leak today that was killing my gas mileage, and thought that it might in some way relate to the hesitation problem that I've been having.
Well I was right, I have no more hesitation at 3800 rpm, but, my 5th and 6th ports still aren't opening. Ive freed up the frozen actuators and they move easily by hand now, as well as the sleeves in the ports. But they still wont open, yet I have no hesitation anymore, just no real usable power above 5k. I greased the shafts of the actuators just to verify that they were not moving, and they aren't. I've done a lot of searching around on here, and can't really locate a similar problem. Any ideas anyone?

teh 3800rpm hesitation is not related to auxilary ports being stuck. It is usually blamed on injectors not coming on properly when they are supposed to because the ECu can't handle it because of shitty grounds. IIRC

I have a 86 n/a with the 3800 rpm drop off..I grounded the alt, bat, engine, still have the drop off in the 3800rmp range...Still trying to find out what wire on my ecu I ground,What color wire on my boost sensor to ground,Also how to put a ground on my secondary injectors...The ground for the injectors is under the throttle body...I don't want to remove the throttle body No money for new gaskets...Also the 5th and 6th ports are stuck...Guess I'm **** out of luck!!!!!

If you've ditched the stock exhaust you may not have enough backpressure for the actuators to open the aux ports.

Nah, it's still stock. I did a little snooping around, and found a crack in the tube that comes out of the cat, I welded it, they still dont seem to open. I actually think I have a combination of problems. So I think that is throwing me off and sending me in the wrong direction. I've now noticed that a replacement cat has been put on the car, and the original air tube was removed, and replaced with a copper tube (why? I don't know). Anyway, I think the prblem with the actuators lies there.
I'm also thinking that the secondaru injectors aren't firing; no huge loss in power, but a noticable one nonetheless.

Buy a two/three foot long piece of vacuum hose. Cost about a buck fifty. Attach one end to the supply nipple for the actuators that is located near the rear actuator. Blow into the hose. The actuators should actuate at about three or four psi of blowing. Blow hard.

Did not budge???? Ok, suck on the hose. You should be able to hold a vacuum when sucking on the hose. If there is no vacuum....then one of the two gaskets are leaking, preventing the actuators to operate when 2-5 psi exaust pressure from the exaust is applied during driving conditions.

Update: When standing beside the car, hood up, engine running, at idle; the rear actuator is fluttering. When I say fluttering, I mean that it is moving slightly up and down very rapidly, and it is making a quick chirping noise. Air leak? The front one doesn't do it, it sits perfectly still. Weird

Spray some starter fluid on it while it's fluttering. IF there is a leak, then the rpms will pick up.
