No Gauge lights...Need HELP!Please

No Gauge lights...Need HELP!Please

I have a 86 rx7 gxl that has no dash lights....i have checked all of the fuses and light bulbs in the car...i was told it was a relay by a few people..... where is this relay located at in my car and where would i get one...i went to advanced and they didnt have anything for me so i have no clue....any help would be most appreciated...thanx

Also where can i get indiglo gauges for this year of car?

no relay on a FC.

Check the plug at the back of the light switch.

And read the FAQ at the top of this section

Ok well when i went to advanced they told methat it has one but that they didnt have a book to look it up so in telling me that it was a dealer part so i have no clue and i have checked all of the plugs , lights and fuses?..... what to do?

check the plug in the back. i had the same problem. i couldnt figure mine out. i just had a lose wire or something. i just gave mine a love tap and it worked

umm... there is a fuse/relay fuse on the engine bay fuse block on s5's that handle the dash lights, and security system. i think its 2nd from the driverside on the fuse block. probably a 30amp?

[edit] or do they call those "fusible links?"

You need to actually check the plug, not just look at it.

Get a meter out and see if the voltage is coming out of the plug.

Unplug the switch and see if the contacts are melted inside.

If the interior dash lights are not working, but the exterior parking lights are, that rules out any fuse as they are on the same fuse.

But it is common to have the dash lights or parking lights go out with the other still working, if the plug at the back of the light switch is melted or damaged internally.
