new filter a 2 weeks ago, I bridged the tester and turned the key on and it whined but it didn't stop after a few sec's like it's suposed to, now when I test it it doesn't whine at all, it is a stock pump as far as I know I didn't put it in though, the car has 160000 mi on it so it may be the original

the pump works I unpluged the outlet fuel hose and turnd the key and it pumped out some fuel, I don't have a pressure tester so I don't know if it's pumping enough fuel

where did you check your fuel line at? maybe your injectors are not firing? will the car crank with the tester bridged?

on a side note, with the mods you list in your sig, you REALLY need to upgrade your fuel system, pump is a good place to start.

yes it will crank w/the tester bridged, and as far as enough fuel for the car I'm only running 9psi (see my "how much boost" thread it was posted a couple days ago)

I don't know what he means by crank with the tester bridged. But if the injectors are firing using the tester, it means that the lack of fuel is coming somewhere prior to the injectors, most likely the fuel pump.

You really need to re-wire that pump. Age corrodes those wires and they can only carry a weak current. Probably not strong enough to pump out full pressure.

Check it out here, courtisy of Dale (dcfc3s):

Does the car start and run with the fuel pump connector bridged? If so, you probably have a problem with the fuel pump cut-off in the airflow meter.

Re-wiring the fuel pump is a good idea, but it's not the root of this problem I feel.
