I just swapped a s5 longblock into my 87 t2, i'm running s4 high impedence injectors with the wiring taking care of on the resistor block. the car starts and idles but its not getting fuel to the rear rotor but the front rotor is flooding any anything over 1/4 throttle kills the engine. all the fuel injectors have power, but for some reason the rear primary isn't firing. i've checked and rechecked all my grounding points and i've even replaced my ecu. i'm all out of ideas
i also forgot to mention that we cleaned and flow benched the injectors and they all flowed perfectly and i also put new pintle caps o rings and gromets on all 4 injectors

Have you done a continuity or ohm test of the Light Green/Black wire to check the integrity of the wire? Does this wire have voltage on it w/key to on as it should? Have you used an LED light to verify whether the ECU was firing that particular injector? And is this a JDM engine or not?
I'm sure you're familiar with the difference, but the JDM engines switch the incoming and outgoing fuel lines as they connect to the fuel rails when compared to the USDM versions.
Pin 3Y if it's an S5 ECU or pin 3C if it's an S4 ECU.

The link shows the kind of LED light you would need. They're about $2 at the local Radio Shack (not sure if they have those by you but I'm sure there is something similar to them).

yeah we got a radio a shack, i'll check it out tomorrow they are closed already. so the light green wire with the black stripe coming off the ecu? there's also another light green wire with black stripe coming from the harness into a little plug with a brown cap on it and the brown cap has a diode symbol on it, what's that for?

Thanks for your help guys! It turned out just like he said, the rear primary injector clip was plugged into the front rotors secondary injector! I swapped them and so far its running awesome!
when i read the thread yesterday i was about to write the same thing
though you had beaten me with the punch and he had already poo- poo'd it
i had pretty much the same scenario,, owner had tried 4 different harnesses and ECU's
-- even sent it to the big rotor shop who shrugged shoulders at it
needless to say,, twas fixed within the first 3 minutes that i had the UIM off
sometimes it pays to double check the obvious
We put a fuel pump cut switch in, so you turn it off and let the fuel run out and engine die. No more flooding and hard starts. It is a thought! BTW - you have a PM on the windshield.
The car doesn't like it when the engine is turned off before it is fully warmed up. If this does not apply to your situation then just ignore the comment.
