NO flames!@#!!
Ok...its kind of a stupid question, but a serious one as well..
MODS .. RB Header, RB Presilencer, Corksport Catback. Streetported 13B.
why can't get flames.. im actually more worried that i may not be getting enough fuel toget flames? if thats the case do you guys think i need to upgrade the fuel system?
Maybe someone with similar mods can tell me if they needed to upgrade their pump or injectors...or am i just being silly?
BTW> umm...i have an exhaust leak the size of KANSAS cause i broke a stud on both sides of the presilencer...
Thanks,
Jahan

Catback would be my guess. You know other people shot to hit a hp goal. Is shotting flames one of you goals. Not flameing just asking? Do you have a Aftermarket ECU? You have to run alittle rich to shot flames.
Because you have an NA with secondary throttle plates that are designed to slowly close the intake. This slows your throttle repsonse and assists in keeping unburnt fuel from going into the exhaust.
Well i have straight 2.5 pipes no cats with a no name presilencer and fake apexi N1 mufflers. I used to rarely shoot flames while shifting but once i adjusted my tps(to try to stop missing at idle) i started flaming more often on shifts and easily while reving and letting off in neutral. The stock n/a ecu runs hella rich to start so u should be fine fuel wise. But seriously flames will get boring in about a week and youll decide going fast is more fun.<== knows from experience
Take it to the redline then ease off then mash the throttle. You'll get flames when you're racing or practicing your pulls from a stop. Flames aren't exactly a "must".
I've gotten some good flames though, on my 87 NA, and I've got stock main cat and mufflers and a pacesetter header.
I'd say you're doing it wrong. Then again, maybe you don't want flames...? You can only hear them most of the time, not see them.

Catback responses are wrong... read his description The Racing beat pre-silencer replaces the Cat... so he has a header, pre-silencer and single exhaust all the way back.
back to the question... is the ACV and air pump still there??? The ACV is designed to help prevent back fires and pops that would create flames (although) I personally think that flames are kinda FATF thing).

Also if it is a S4 with the EGR valve, that will lower combustion temp as well, further forcing combustion in the manifold.
Remove ACV, airpump, EGR, and MOD THE TB.
Secondary throttle plates in the TB make it close slowly..because of the dashpot catching them and having them sloowwwllyyy close. Do these, and you will never stop popping flames..
