No electrical power at all...

As I posted a blurb about it earlier in the week, some POS hit and ran my car.

The front left blinker was broken, same for the fog light... now I started the car a day after the accident, and the next day I turned on the lights and they worked (power) and then the next day I go out and turn the key and I get NOTHING.

No dash lights, no signs of any electricity.

I figured something was draining the battery, so I hooked up jumpers to it.... nothing. Still the same exactly symptoms with the other car hooked up and running.

Any idea? Is there something simple? And how could it happen overnight when the car hasn't moved?

How do I check the main fuse? -_-

I am sooo stupid for asking this. But the Haynes manual is written in elvish or someshit when it comes to diagnosing electrical stuff.

in the fuse box under the hood. It is the highest amperage fuse in the box. it does not pull out... it is bolted in.

the 80amp fuse.

Also, Check for voltage on your battery. I know you've already tried to jump it, also chekc the terminal connectors on the ends of the battery wires. make sure you have good contact.

I know you already tried to jump it, but just recheck everything.

Well that was easy, main fuse is blown. Anyone know what might have caused the battery to drain gradually? Leads on the broken blinker just sitting open? One of the headlights is stuck in the UP position because there is a body panel holding it up... would it just endlessly try and put it down until it drained the battery?

ah
the stuck up headlight drained it. when the headlight are in the down position and are lifted up, the motor will pull them back down. Disconnect the rod on the headlight that conects it to it's motor. Replace the 80a fuse, and jumpstart the car. It should run fine.
