No EGR on series 5; and K2RD!

After reading the thread about the EGR. I noticed that there is no EGR on a series 5. Well that's all fine and dandy, but I purchased a block-off plate kit from K2RD and it contains an EGR plate for the series 5 . On thier website you get a choice of four different kits. series 4 turbo and NA, and series 5, turbo or NA. I would assume that they would know that there is not an EGR on series 5 NAs. And it would have been maybe a dollar cheaper for me to buy the plates separately. I mean the money is no big deal, it's just that why are they making a kit that contains unneeded parts? OR do they produce a different block off piece that will plug up that hole on the lower intake?

But why does mazdatrix only sell EGRs for series 4 and 3rd gens? I guess it is posible that somebody had removed it; but my car passed a legit emissions test shortly after I bought it.

I'm not sure. But I was looking for something in my car the other day, and Mazdatrix doesn't offer it. They're not the end-all be-all of RX-7's you know.

No EGR on series 5 N/A. Only 2 cats where 86-88 have 3. Don't know how they get away with it but I am jealous.

No EGR on a S5's. Paul might have thrown an EGR blockoff plate in there by accident.

I didn't know of the Series V not having an EGR Valve. I had bought one for my 88 non-turbo, but will not need It when I convert my Intake to a Series V one!
